Development of the property
On the over 50.000 m² large property there was originally a US military hospital. In the early 1990s it was taken over by the Charité and partially renovated. WISTA Management GmbH took over the site from the State of Berlin in mid-2016.
Currently, part of the central building serves research institutes and several innovative companies as laboratory and office space. The former boiler house and the hospital building are being completely renovated with the help of GRW funds and converted into the Innovation Centre FUBIC. In addition to FUBIC and the former combined heat and power plant, six further buildings will be erected for companies that conform to the profile.
Location and transport connections
The site will be developed in the southwest via Fabeckstraße. Parking spaces for cars will be available on the site. There is a very good connection to public transport (ÖPNV). The S-Bahn station Botanischer Garten and the U-Bahn station Dahlem-Dorf can be reached in a few minutes. Two bus stops in the immediate vicinity complete the public transport connections.
